Aroura Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 Since I got my new cat I havn't been able to let Lily in my room (he is very timid and only stays in my room). Well, I let Lily in the lounge room when I can, but as its getting warmer mums changed the rules again and doesn't want the dogs in the house (only Puddles, who is in all day) Anyway, at night or when it is raining Lily and Tessa go in the sunroom, which has huge glass sliding doors that look straight through the study and into my room. Lily's always whining to come in (mum tries to say she wants to go OUT, but when she is out she still whines to come in!), but when she sees the cat she tries to run STRAIGHT THROUGH THE GLASS DOORS! She hits her head on it so hard it rattles, the cat gets scared, and everyone worries that she'll break the glass and end up at the vet. What can I do about it? I can't wait until Meeko (the cat) is ready and willing to come into the lounge room and stay there so I can let Lily in through my door, her whining to me is like any mothers baby whining, it send me crazy and I feel so terrible!!! :( Quote
Aroura Posted September 12, 2002 Author Posted September 12, 2002 Good idea Mei Mei, only problem is, she knows the glass is there!!! She'll sit there with her nose against the glass, and as soon as she sees Meeko she takes a step back and BANG!!!! I think her thick brick head must make her resistant to pain. Quote
deepseasnake Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 I'm sure you have already tried, but maybe try to get the two together while holding tessa close, tight and above the cat. see if you can get tess to mellow out and relize that the cats okay. It's all I can think of, find some way to demonstrate that the cat is harmless. and if that doesnt work set tess on a chair and let her watch as you beat the cat's a$$ okay okay I'm listening to "Crowbar" so excuse the violent outburst  Quote
