Stupid Question.......?

I hope you don't think this is a stupid question.
I haven't owned a dog since 6th grade, so I didn't pay attention to things like heat cycles.
My husband asked a question I couldn't answer, so I am asking you nice dog loving people.
"Since our 10 month old puppy is Spayed, will she have a period?"
I realize that it is called going into heat.
We adopted her from a reputable animal rescue group that gives shots to & spays/neuters all before giving up for adoption.
My husband had 2 different female dogs growing up, but they were never fixed. :(
Thankfully they were/are inside dogs. :-?
Anyway, I assumed being spayed means that she will not have a discharge????
Please educate me!!!

you know I would think that they would have no problems, but I seem to recall hearing a spayed female having discharge and a psudo heat... but I don't really know

A bitch that has been spayed will not come into season,
so dont worry.
no questions are stupid if you need to know something please dont be afraid to ask.

I think it was great that you came here to ask the question, and believe me no question is stupid, and I'm sure there are a lot of other people out there who would've liked to ask the same question.

Enjoy your 10 mo. old girl. I'm sure she's a love.

she shouldn't. a "spay" is an ovario-hysterectomy, meaning that everything is removed. the only dogs that will seem to have a heat after a spay are ones that the vet did not entirely remove all the tissue, and if it happens, you need to go back to the vet and get it corrected.
