Well, this will probably be one of the last posts for me for a while... I have to move on the 7th and I don't know what the internet link is like in the new place... and I am going to be very busy trying to pack this week... I will miss all you guys and the funny things said on this forum. Thanks for all the great advice and all the fun debates! I will try to get back on when we get settled, but I don't know if I get to take the computer or not as my husband will be up here for a couple of months longer then me and he might be lonely and want to play games or something.... so I'll see ya!

Thanks everybody... don't worry I'll be back as soon as I can... I have high hopes of someday catching up to k and sasha!
Hey just a thought... the bugs down there are atrocious! does anybody have any ideas for keeping "sugar ants" and yellow jackets away? Everytime I put her food down in the grass the ants come, so I would put it on the deck... then the bees come!!!! I have to say that is one thing I really don't like about the gorge!

Good luck with your move. :D
Hope everything gets there in one piece.
I didn't hear where you are moving to.
But, Aurora is right. Set the food bowl in a dish/pie tin of water to discourage the ants.
I don't know what to do about the bees.
Extra protien??? :-?

Well, just get back to us when you can.
Take care!

Good luck on the move Hazel!! Hope to hear from you soon ! :D

See if you can find those Bag-A-Bug things at a Lowes or hardware store for bees... I know they work on flies and beetles. They should have them for bees. Water for the ants also a slice of lemon works as well as a line of salt but dogs tend to eat both of those sooooo.... :-?

are you moving to george? that would be awsome! just make sure youv got a swimming hole to frequent!

I'm not sure what to do about ants outdoors or bees but INDOORS are my specialty! the answer friend.....Geckos, they are quick walk up walls and stay out of the way during the day, I have 2 Geckos that live free in my house and the bug population plummeted the day I let them go. specialaly if you are in eastern wash. they will do very well in your house.

spiders are virtually unheard of in my house and we never get flies either. just make sure you dont use rat poison anywhere. if your interested let me know and I'll tell you the kinds I've had the most success with :D
