Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Man and dog crime team on the loose By Associated Press, 8/26/02 CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police are looking for a man-and-dog crime team. Jeremy Taylor, 30, of Charleston told police he was driving home from work about 4:30 a.m. Thursday and was accosted when he stopped at an intersection. He said the passenger door of his car opened and a pit bull jumped in and bit him on the arm. A man -- whom police believe was the dog's owner -- then punched Taylor and demanded cash. Taylor gave the man money and he and the dog fled. Mayor Jay Goldman said the incident shows that pit bulls should be muzzled or banned. "The argument is that the dogs may be OK but owners make them this way," Goldman said. "People fight them to make them meaner." ********************************************* Can you believe this person is this dumb? Oh sure its the fault of the dog  and even if you *could* buy into that assininity, why on earth would anyone think a law on muzzles or banning would stop a criminal from using his dog in this manner? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Just another case of ignorance, I guess. :x Quote
Horsefeathers! Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Now that's actually funny to me to think that this buttwhistle bonehead would like to enact laws to muzzle these dogs, or even ban them because a crook has one as a sidekick and partner in crime. Soooooooo, let me get this straight... then they'll have no more problems with the law abiding thieves right? "Oh, man, I was gonna go out robbin' tonight, but I can't. It's illegal to have an unmuzzled pit bull" or "to have a pit bull at all." Yeah, that'll fix THAT problem. After all, we all know that these criminals who would just as soon shoot you for a dollar would never think of breaking a law concerning dog ownership. Soooo... this guy was voted into office, aye? Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 I think you're right too, Mei Mei. Obviously, this guy had no intention of robbing this guy until the dog suggested it. I wonder how the dog opened the car door? If it was locked, obviously the dog carries a slim jim with him. How many other stop & robs were there in W.Va. where there were no dogs involved? How come he didn't comment on these. Truth be known, the general public will call any dog a pitbull. I think these so called "officials" in all places need to do several months of community work at some shelters before they open their stupid mouths and put their foot in there. Quote
deepseasnake Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 you guys come on, the pitbulls cant think this stuff up......... it was his fleas, the dog doesnt like to do mean stuff but the fleas jump in his ears and burrow into the cock pit, and sit just behind the dogs eyes with all the controls, all the switches and steering wheels the dog has no choice he just has to do what the fleas tell him to do, and for them its just like a big video game....dang fleas! the mayor needs to make manditory flea collars not muzzles.....jeez only in W V would a mayor not know the differance Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Don't forget the ticks as well as the fleas! They are nasty culprits as well! Quote
deepseasnake Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 this they are, but they take over the snakes! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 By the way, Deep, had to go in to work late today cuz I had to take my babies to the Dr...and I got to stop in at Starbucks for my morning coffee! Yummy... Quote
gooeydog Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 You guys are all wrong  It's obvious that the dog was in "shark attack mode, typical of pit bulls... I bet he mauled the door open, using his two sets of alligator teeth, and holding the door with the back teeth while he chewed it with the front teeth. No door can withstand that 1000 lbs of clamping power... That man was doomed. He's just lucky that that nice <cough> man was there to haul the vicious beast off him.... Quote
deepseasnake Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 you forgot to mention that he was rabid and weighed 600 lbs   Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Yes, you are right. Who would want to own a pit anyway???? They are not even an attractive dog! Hubby and I were talking about pits last night and how they are one of the most beautiful breeds... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 How could you? I mean, I KNOW you and K and Sash and Giz and Stiff(and a lot of others that I can't remember) just HATE that breed. And the fact that my hubby grew up with 32 of these dogs makes him hate them even more! Especially icky is that puppy Felony. Sorry Sash...just have to poke fun. You know how sweet I think she is! Quote
