Barking while gone?

Okay everyone got a question for you.. I have been around dogs for a good majority of my life.. But for some reason I can't get past this.. We bought a cage for the dog.. because she kept going "potty" in the house while we were gone.. And doing puppy things like ripping stuff up or whatever.. so we got the cage to keep her confined.. She won't use the restroom in her cage we just take her out as soon as we get home.. She has learned that.. very well.. :).. But whn we leave.. I have received complaints that she continously barks while shes in her cage..

Is there anyway to get around this?? Someone suggested a muzzel.. But thats just mean to a dog.. She gets spayed her in like a week.. And she gets all her shot.. but will this honestly do anything?? Iknow with cats.. It calms them down trendously..

Yup.. Got a bunch of toys in there.. Its right when we shut the bedroom door.. SHe will bark for about 10 minutes and then nothing.. Im not sure if its for attention or.. I dunno.. Her bark keeps getting louder every day she ages :).. Its crazy.. :).. Im not really sure what to do.. Our schedules vary from day to day.. Sometimes.. My girlfriend is home sometimes she works during the day.. Its hard telling from week to week.. My Schedule is 7-4 everyday.. So.. Im not sure.. Maybe she'll out grow it?? Do Dogs usually calm down after getting spayed at all??

Actually we have tried both.. Either one she barks loud for about 10 mins.. Then when she figures out noone is going to do anything she lays down and goes to sleep.. If I can just get rid of the 10 minute gap itd be great.. I know the cage isn't fun.. I know that.. But.. I can't afford for her to wreck the apartment..

She goes in to get spayed and everyone of her shots Next Wednesday.. They are charging $150.. Is that good or bad?
