Shar Pei Information Please

I am very interested in purchaseing a shar Pei in a few years. I know they are prone to alot of diseases. I would like information on how to care for them and keep them healthy. Any information would help greatly. Thanx! :P

Search for a breeder who is trying to produce healthy dogs - this is one case where genetics play a role that cannot be counteracted by simple good care on the owners part.
I suggest you check out the dog email lists at www.yahoogroups.com for ones that cater to shar pei lovers - you will get wealth of information there.
There are always tons of pei available to be adopted - check out www.petfinder.org and take a look.
