I'm fairly new to this forum and really enjoy reading all the topics
EXCEPT FOR ONE ----
please can't something be done about this 'guest'? I noticed that when I posted with the word 'bitch' it was blocked straight away. Sorry about that, it's usual speak in the show world over here! Anyway can't something be done before the posts appear or failing that - how about just ignoring them, nothing cools off a troublemaker like being ignored.
Hope no-one minds me having my say on this, as it really is spoiling a great forum.

Woops, I see there are a number of posts from "guests", but if anyone wondering if 'the shoe fits' just go to the most recent reference to the 'guest' I am refering to in the 'Outside Dogs" who always seems to cause a lot of dissention.

Hmm, sounds like the guest who attacked me for being "new" (because I have SO much control over that) and also jumping on the so-called "attack guest" bandwagon- I don't believe there is one but if guests continually get at people then they're going to react... (not meaning to offend the nice guests!!)
Isn't the purpose of this board to discuss dogs in a friendly fashion? :roll:

Sorry about that the forum censors itself now due to all of the wonderful vocabulary lessons we were receiveing!! :lol: You and I and the others know exactly what context you were using it in, which was fine but others tend to use it in a not so lovely manner!! :wink:

Could "nice guest" and "amazing amounts of infomation guest" and "amusing guest" get a name please, please, please :)

I wonder if you really think you can tell who is who or how many of the 'members' here have more than one identity.
People who need identities take on their fake names happily - people who don't feel like they need one don't.
I find it pretty interesting that the first thing a newbie does is complain - not my idea of how to win friends and influence people. I mean honestly in real life if you walked into a group of new people and said "Hi I don't know any of you and I'm new here but I already know I really don't like this people in your crowd who have this 'name'" do you really think you would find the people all friendly to you?

Well said, Newfiemom. I am retired, have been involved with dogs and dog people for over 40 years, showing, breeding, judging and club administration. I may be a newbie to this forum but at least I have as many details permissable on show and am available through private messages and email. So I figure it's not us hiding behind a 'name'!
Can we please stop all this slanging, I, for one, am going to now stick by my original post on this subject - "IGNORE IGNORANCE". :roll:

Geez Guest, I guess we don't ALL read Dale Carnegie in between leaving judgemental posts for the masses :roll: I don't particularily care WHAT name people use on here, be it "Guest",a fake (as you call it) username,or if they claim to be Santa Claus....as long as they express their questions and/or opinions in a polite, objective manner...I answer them back in a polite,objective manner.
Just as YOU say we "new" members lump all guests together in a negative fashion and treat them poorly,there are certain "Guests" on here that seem to be out for nothing more than to antagonize and criticize every member of this forum that posts a thread.This makes everyone leery of ALL "Guests"...Its a shame :( Is there really any need for all this Drama??? This is a DOG forum for pete's sake :roll:

I don't own a computer. I'm somewhat of a Luddite at heart, hence my prefered mode of transportation in the winter :) . I've enjoyed reading many of the posts here, but am also annoyed at the "know it all" personalities. I've been mushing for well over 20 years and am far from knowing everything about it- I learn things every year from my dogs and fellow mushers(pros and rookies) All of us are smarter than one of us. I'm glad that this forum allows my occasional comment without requiring an E-mail address- I surf either at work or the Library.

Ahem if you ignore ignorance it breeds - as witness one can be involved in dogs for 40 years and still only have had one years experience 40 times over.
But the involvement explains your first words being nasty ones to someone you don't know - that seems to be required training in show people nowadays.

I did not say ALL newbies do - I said 1) that this one did and 2) that I found it interesting that new members would do that.
As for it being a dog forum I am all in favor of that but since we got moderators it has turned into a kindergarten instead.

A boyfriend on the other hand is a different matter, I always say "love me, love my dog (and my rat, and my cat...)" and if they can't deal with that its "goodbye!" :wink:

The only reason I questioned which guest Bensam was referring to was that I had no clue as to even which post was offending and was only asking a question.

And to the person who said "I think we've located the guest", don't blame it on me. Unless something is really upsetting, I usually don't respond w/flaming and do try to offer any knowledge that I think I may have that may help someone. I'll admit I've seen a few "snotty" guests post here, but don't lump all guests in one category, please.

guests who come in here with a name like, Guest pat or pumkin the musher, are legit people. Born of a man and a woman, most likely that were in love and gave them a resonable if not strong childhood in which they grew like blossoms on a tree. to become law abiding good citizens. Who pull over and help people in broken vehicles, and when they see an injured animal in the road they get out, and nurse it back to health. because benevalent acts of kindness are what they live for. :)

but :x those who sign in as GUEST with no kind of special refferance tag or name, aren't people at all. They we were born of maggot and parasite dung, put into a spining motion because the very ground they were concieved on could not stomach the exsistance of suck putrid filth. The fact the good Lord lets them continue spreading their inconcievable raunch, simply shows he can forgive even the most atrocious and unnatural regurgation of his earth.

GUESTS let me tell you something, if you have been posting here for 20 years thats fine, but if joe shmoe comes on board and in his first post b*tches about your crud strewn about in such primordial fashon.
