Buffered Asprin, what is that....

The vet told me to give gizmo that for a while until her toe or whatever heals..... :x :-? :( And how much, she is 40 lbs??? Please help

Actually you want triple buffered or Ascriptin (aspirin and maalox mixed in it) and you don't want to do it too long and discontinue immediately if she goes off her food. She ought to get it with food too.
Problem is dogs stomachs are pretty acid to begin with and the aspirin can give them ulcers if you are not careful. It also can cause bleeding problems if too high a dose is given for too long.
