Guest Anonymous Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Well, had an interesting weekend! First off, when we were gone last week, our friend/neighbor took care of Kika and Kenzo for us. He FORGOT to let them out on Monday, and we came home to some messes :( ....well, had another bout of messes on Friday....and called the vet. She said to get urine samples....and now Kenzo has a bladder infection. :( So he's on antibiotics. Poor baby. Then, on Saturday I did my first in volenteer work for a shelter. The shelter has an Adopt a Day once a month at the local PetCo. I went there to help promote the shelter and some of the dogs were brought in. My arms are STILL sore from holding "Bonnie" for the 2 hours I was there. She was a sweet Rat Terrier mix about 2-3 yrs of age. I couldn't put her down. She had an application put in!!!!!! :D There were four dogs total, two were brought in by their foster parents. Later on that day, we went boating with my sister and family for my hubby's birthday. We were swimming on the beach and I saw a shiba! I about crapped cuz you NEVER see them....I yelled to my hubby "there's a SHIBA over there!!!!!!!" and 7 of us ran over to meet him! He is 7 yrs old and was a mix....in my opinion, I think he had a little corgi in him cuz he had that face, but everthing else was shiba...The parents had never seen another dog like him and had no idea what he was. So, my hubby had to run back to the boat to get pix of our babies to show. It was such a surprise! :D Quote

I spent saturday cooking for the in laws (when then visit i always cook them something special) Fillet of pork in madira and stilton... (sorry K) then on sunday i got roped into stewarding an exemption show. It was all for charity, and it did end up a great day. what did everyone else do? Roo Quote

Aroura Posted August 14, 2002 Posted August 14, 2002 Ah K, we always knew you were special! :wink: Well I shouldn't talk about MY diet!!! I've got eczma and went to have some blood tests yesterday, and YAY, they proved I'm not allergic to ANY animals, which is good because it wouldn't stop me having the dogs in my bed! :wink: But, on the downside, I'm no longer allowed to eat Dairy products, Caffine, Potatos (yes, potato :-? ), Citrus fruits or yeast. Which meants I can't eat cheese, bread, yoghurt, ice cream, cheese cakes, CHOCOLATE :( , tea, coffee, cakes.... its terrible!!!! :o So I've gotta live off cornflakes with soy milk (yuk) for breakfast, an apple and a rice cake (can't have vegemite, peanut butter, jam etc on it either, only honey, no butter...) for lunch and something plain for dinner! Oh, don't know how I'll get through the next year (I've got to slowly add them back over a year), and to top it off I think I'm allergic to Soy milk!!! I was sick all last night and all today and have a massive headache! :( Does anyone pity me??? :cry: :cry: :cry: Quote
