bk_blue Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 I've just finished bawling my eyes out over this story: http://www.geocities.com/bhcv_club/howcould.html This story really got to me because we had a Basset who died in 1991 at the age of 14. She was absolutely adorable and the gentlest, most affectionate little darling...I even miss her howling and her slobbering, though BK makes up for all of that and more  Quote
bk_blue Posted August 9, 2002 Author Posted August 9, 2002 The Titanic theme music doesn't help either :( Quote
Aroura Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Oh BK you shouldn't have, now I'm crying  I've heard so many storys like that, but every time it brings tears to my eyes and a big lump in my throaght, and I just wish there was something I could do to save ALL those dogs. It makes me happy to know that at least I saved one dogs lie, when I got Tessa from the pound she was only 5 weeks old and was just about to get that dreaded needle when mum and dad agreed to let me have her. There is no way that will ever happen to my dogs, the first part of the story reminded me of my dogs, how they have always been there to comfort me no matter what. How someone could replace that with a family I will never know. Please don't remind me of the pain and suffering so many dogs have to go through again, it tares my heart to shreds  Quote
bk_blue Posted August 11, 2002 Author Posted August 11, 2002 Sorry Aroura!! I will try and post HAPPY stories from now on!! :D I'm so glad you saved Tessa. BK has always been there for me, and I'll always be there for him. He never fails to make me laugh with his antics. Today, he wanted some of my breakfast for his breakfast. I told him to lie down and he did, deliberately putting his paw over my foot so I couldn't move without him knowing, and looking up at me expectantly as if to say "well I'm lying down... hurry up!" He ended up getting some toast for his cuteness factor :D Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 :x maybe these stories should come up on other sites as pop-ups. hopefully on this site we are not the owners who would do this Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 thats a realy good idea these kinds of stories as popups and warnings like dont let this happen to ur beloved dog-they would still love u no matter what this would break their heart by doing this! Quote
