Guest Anonymous Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Ok, this is disgusting... and I am not sure Hazel is actually eating them or just trying to get them out of her dish... but sometimes when I let her in for the morning she has slug slim on her mouth. This stuff is awful to get off, almost as bad as pitch. I have been using butter which seems to do the trick... is there a way to prevent her from eating them? I can't get rid of them as they are everywhere, and slug bait is poisonous and I don't use poison for anything.... too many kids and dogs around. Anybody have another idea for a deterant? _____________________________ owner of the world's laziest aussie Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Horsefeathers- you are a funny person! Now then. We have these huge slugs in our yard and my beagle will get on their sent and follow them dig them up and put them on our frount porch... :-? Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 when i first got one of my puppies he had a spell of eating stones. i would put my finger in his mouth to poke it out. one day to my horror he had a live snail in his mouth. he grew out of it. he is the grand old age of six months. house hold salt works to kill them but once it rains. you need to put more down.  Quote
