Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 That is the best article I have read on the amazing American Pitbull Terrier, thanks. I just love my 2 Pits. I like how they love me hard and I love them back gently. I just think they are the very best dog around. "I'm neutral, but not afraid of any of them!" This is so true about them. I remember reading something like that before that said, "Pitbulls don't start fights, but they can finish them". Pits just don't like to be challenged by dogs. Of course not putting a Pit in such a compromising position is the first rule! I personally wouldn't put myself in that kind of compromising position either. Long live the Pit!!! -Hollywood Quote
GizmoRedNosePit Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 Thankyou for posting that... I heard the other day, They may be bred for the hunt but they dont do the kill. That was for wolves but if you change it a little that could be for the pitbull! Long live the pitbull!! Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!! Thanks k, For posting that and being one of the many APBT lovers! Staraffs also!! :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 I love pitbulls. I have 1 of my own. I saved him from the fighting ring. He is still a very lovable dog, even though he has had a bad life. Quote
GizmoRedNosePit Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 Same here, you are one of the many people that need a doggy metal! :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 I admire you Mary Beth. That is absolutely fantastic of you to take in an abused Pit. I did that before and had him for over 5 years ( I don't like to talk about what happened to him and the Rotti though, and no they didn't have a fight). I got him at 1 1/2 years olds and he wanted to get everything in site. Even if a person or animal was a 1/2 a mile away. It took a couple of years of training with love and the use of daily giving him Amatripuline 50mg to turn him around. He wasn't perfect after, but he was 100% better. I still had to be careful though. 80 lbs of dog is a lot to handle that is muscular, but Mason respected me and everyone in the house. For Mason to get use to someone new, it took him about 2 months time where the person would have to visit regularly. After that he was their best friend and would protect them. he would like to always say hello to them wagging his tail frantically and licking their mouth numerous times. He was agreat dog and best friend .He use to sleep on my bed on a pillow beside me. I do really miss him very much. I will always think of him and remember how precious he was to me. I believe he is with my Dad in Heaven with the Rotti I had also. I know they are all doing fine. Thanks for listening to me. Respectfully your-Hollywood Quote
