Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Ok.. here goes. I love to take my dogs everywhere with me possible. So one day me and some friends decided to go on a fishing trip. We also wanted to bring some dogs. So I brought my mutt, Sparky. We took a boat and fished for about an hour and didn't get even a bite so we went to another close fishing area. Of corse my friends dog layed there not having a care in the world.. but Sparky loves to paw at the water, make bubbles and then bark at the bubbles. So every time I let him go he would plunge right back into the water and bark. Then if thats not bad enough every time one of us caught a fish he would jump up trying to get it.. then being the brillent people we are we put the fish in a bucket (they were still kinda alive so they flopped around) and Sparky went and pulled them all out.. I am never taking him on a fishing trip again! Then people got so annoyed with us that we had to leave. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 By the way I have so many more stories about how my dogs are silly, but that would just take 10 pages! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Ok I just have to post one more. This is when Fred was just a few months old. He was baying and baying and baying out in the garden. Finally my mom and I went out to look at what it was. He ran up to us then zipped back to the garden and started baying again. We were looking to see what it was and we could not see anything.. finally we saw something move in the grass.. it was a praying mantice. Oh gosh how can you not love dogs!!! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Ok I've got one....I gave Mckenzie a bath one day and she jumped out of the tub...she ran straight in the living room jump on the couch with my husband and covered him and the furniture in black dog fur....she has short hair and doesnt shed much...except when wet Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Ok got another...Then there was the time that we had this huge cook out. There were a bunch of our friends there and we let McKenzie out. She ran straight across the road jumped in the ditch and got covered in mud. She ran back in the yard and darted straight at Amber who had on white pants. She chased her around 4 cars,3 people, and a hot grill. Amber ran behind Matt and Matt growled at McKenzie. McKenzie sat down and wagged her tail. Then everyone got to watch her play with the hose Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Speaking of baths...my older dog,Rocky, loves to take baths. Whenever you turn on the tub, he comes flying into the bathroom thinking that it's his turn. Anyway,I was having a bad hair day, so I went to wash my hair under the faucet in the tub. I knew Rocky was beside me so I told him to sit and stay(which he did). That was until I put my head under the running water. When I looked up...he was in the tub splashing around. At that point I had no choice but to give him another bath!!!! Too cute! Quote

Aroura Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Dad took Lily out to a river when she was a little younger for a swim. She went in and started swimming across the river. Being the big goofy thing that she is, as soon as she tried to turn back she started to sink!!! Dad had to strip down to his undies and jump in after her!!! Lucky for us she knows how to swim now    Quote
Aroura Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Every night when I go to bed I read my rat, Mojo, and my fish a bed time story (I'm reading "Lord of The Rings" to him). Last night I had Lily and my cat Tiger in my room when it came to Mojos bed time story time. So there I was, lying in bed with Mojo in his cage, cleaning himself while watching and patiently listening to his story, all my fish huddled to one side of their tank to watch me (they always follow me around), with Lily lying on the end of my bed staring at me with her big Boxer eyes and Tiger sitting on my pillow next to my head looking at me and purring. I felt like I was in a fairy tale or something, reading to the animals!!!! I think thats the best way to go to sleep :P Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 okay about baths. Freckles HATES baths! I dont know why because when we take her to the park and she gets withen 100 yards of a body of water (pons, lake, streams, river, puddles, etc...) she jumps right in! She is the craziest dog I have ever seen! I need to get a picture of her! Quote

So peaceful, especially to see the dog not eating the cat and the cat not eating the rat and the rat not eating the fish... they all just sit around in a big circle and listen to me!!! :-? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 More of the freckles files! we have a 2 and 1 fourth pound puppy lucy <--- and a maybey 8 lb cat and a little rabbit. well wouldnt ya know she would be afraid of them?!?!? she is getting used to lucy now <--- because they were both on my bed today! I am a little worried about them because freckles is a 55lb+ dalmation and could kill lucy without trying. Freckles is so sweet though and she wouldnt hurt a fly. (well, she does try to eat the ocasonal bumbleee, but lucky for her she dosent catch them!) but this dosent mean I am gonna leave them alone so dont jump on me like i know you will... but yesterday it made me so happy becaus freckles went up to lucy and sniffed her nose! Lucy isnt afraid of Freckles at all though! she will chase her all around and freckles just runs away! But it is so funny!! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Funny stories? How about a graphic of my breeding program? So far, no success, but maybe in time we'll be the ones to pioneer the Yorkshire Bunny breed :-? ... This only confirms the suspicions SOME had of me being "sick." From the "'nuff said" files... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 It's not the worst thing I've ever seen here. I think it's funny! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 There... I deleted it! I see it's only going to stir up unneeded controversy. I'll just put a stop to that before it ever starts. :x Quote
science_doc Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 Okay I swear this is a true story about a cat, not a dog, but still cute. When my sister and I were still living at home we had this cat who would always bring mice up out of the basment. So far no big deal, but my dad noticed that for some reason her food dish was always being dragged away from the wall into the middle of the basement. Then one day he went to the basment to find the cat sitting on something watching a mouse crawling into her food dish. It suddenly dawned on him that she was using her food as bait to catch mice, amazing! Later that same year my parents found a 2 inch gap in a window casing that was letting the mice come freely in and out of the basement. I really think animals have more intelligence than they people think. Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 I'll tell ya exactly what it was, Sashagirl... it was a picture of a Yorkie humping a bunny. No more, no less. No exposed "parts," just a side shot of a Yorkie humping a bunny. The dog had climbed atop the bunny and, as far as the picture shows, he could have just been lying there on her back. Maybe my dog is the only one who humps stuff, so I didn't realize when I originally posted it that it would be considered sooo offensive. I'll just stick to, "aaaaawwww ain't he cute" postings and apologize all over myself for, once again, inadvertently offending someone. :o Quote
Aroura Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 science_doc, sounds like one damn smart cat!!! horsefeathers, I'm with you on this one, couldn't find anything offencive about it myself. Don't see how anybody can find a dog doing 'doggie things' offensive! :-? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 Awwwwwww Mei Mei! That so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it reminds me of my dog! Quote
