Guest Anonymous Posted July 7, 2002 Posted July 7, 2002 :D I own a black with white paws and chest pitbull named Scruffy. He weighs about 70 pounds. He is 3 years old. :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 McKenzie is part pitbull...part boxer...so you can count her if you want to, but if you don't I understand. There is a link to her pic below. She is black brindle, but she looks black in the pic. Her paws chest and middle of her face are white. she weighs about 55 lbs and is 8 months old. All muscle too. Quote
GizmoRedNosePit Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 You ALL know Gizmo! She is 40lbs of Muscle is 6 Months old and is All Fawn except a "collar" around her neck and up her face...as seen in the site in my signature! Go see!!! Her father Chiko, is around 75-80 lbs....BIG BOY!! But sweet... Her Mother LaLa, was around 50 lbs..she is the smaller type of pitbulls. :-? So we have no idea what size Gizmo will be. Probably around 60 lbs or so! Quote
GizmoRedNosePit Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 k, I'm not hollywood but they are!! I think you can post..I dont think he would have a problem!! :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 I have one pure bred female Pit Bull named Lexie, who is 8 mos old. She weighs almost 39 lbs. (She's the one in the pic to the left). My other dog is a 1 year old Pit/Boxer mix. His name is Rocky and he's about 60 lbs. Hopefully, in October we will be adding another member to our growing family. Can't wait! Quote

Guest roo Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Just thought i would let you all know I met apit bitch today, a beautiful red girlie, because of the DDA laws over here her owners say she is a staf, ridgeback cross, luckily because of her colouring she could get away with it!!! If they knew what she really was she would be taken away from the family, (they have 3 kids) The reason they got her was because the person who had her didn't find her aggressive enough for them. She is now 3. There are happy endings sometimes Roo Quote
Aroura Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Whats the go with all the Pit Bulls? I don't get it, I'm not saying I don't love 'em or anything, but it seems like the Pit Bull owners have made themself a sort of group, all this talk about Pits and me and my darling Boxer and mixed breed cant join in!!!! Please leave topics more open to other breeds, I'm beggining to feel left out! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Aroura we aren't trying to make you feel left out. We are simply trying to stand up for a breed that a lot of people feel aren't worth it. You constantly see so much bad press about pits, but the neglect to show you the good dogs. They don't show you the pup that lays on the bed for 3 days next to a sick child. They don't show you the happy puppy that will sit there and watch you do absolutley nothing for hours and act totally content. They never tell you about the adorable dog that cocks its head so far to the side when you whistle that it looks like it will twist its head clean off. They only show the ones that turn on people and attack animals and such. Although usually they neglect to say but the dog was breed for this and it was provoked by some moron who wanted to see how mean it was. When they show a pit that has attacked some poor child, they don't tell you aobut the idiot that knew that dog was breed for fighting but didn't watch the kid and let it near the dog. And never does anyone say I neglected to closely check the backround of this family dog. I just seen the pups for sale in a box infront of the local grocery store and couldn't help myself. (people can make mistakes and things are liable to happen sometimes that are beyond our control, but it happens to often) DOGS ARE NOT TO BLAME PEOPLE ARE ( in most situations) So you see Aroura we are not doing it to make you or anyone feel left out. I have noticed out bull breed group does seem to pull some what close together, but we have to. Everywhere else we turn people think we are crazy for owning one of this evil vicious dogs. Only we know how great they are. People see those faces and get so scared of the dog they think it might bite. If they would take time and ask to pet it that might see the sweet darling side that us owners have fallen head over heels for. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Thank you very Sasha. I really got carried away there. Straight from the heart :D Quote

Aroura Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 Thats ok everyone, I was just being a sook and wanted to feel part of the group without having to go get a Pit Bull!!! (My two dogs are quite enough as it is, and enjoy their lives sending me broke!!!) I know what you mean though, about trying to unite the good owners (rather than trying to unite the owners of the good dogs, big difference, as they are all good at heart...). Sometimes when people see me walking Tessa they scream and cross the road, she's only 20 kg, but because she is black and very muscley (Bull Terrier coming through) people get scared and it bothers me because she is such a nice dog, if only people would give her a chance. I don't know how people see Boxers, but I've never had any bad reactions from Lily!!!! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 :) My name is Billie and I have to say that I love my Pit Bull Toby. She had puppies 5 weeks ago and they are adorable. I know that people are hesitant when it comes to Pit Bulls, but I have to say that my dog is the sweetest dog. When I pull up in the yard, she is waiting for me with a stick in her mouth. I think Pit Bulls get a bad rap, but are wonderful animals. I believe a dog is a reflection of its owner. Billie Quote

Billie Well Billie, you make sure those pups all go to the best homes so we can see more beutiful well cared for Pits around! Ask 1001 questions before selling them and make sure you keep in touch throughout the dogs lives, people can't be trusted with power, if you let just anyone take your pups they may be abused. I'm sure you will find good homes, even if you have to knock back a few people to find them. Quote
avaloniaboerboele Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 Hey - everybody that doesnt have a Pit-bull. Get a Boerboel and let him have them all for lunch. 8) Quote

Guest roo Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 Giz I must say i am a bit dubious about as to why anyone would want to know where this bitch is, so i am not going to say    But she was a real sweety, and as long as she is safe being known as a ridgeback/staff cross i am OK about it Roo Quote
