Guest Anonymous Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 Raven, as I named her, was a stray. She chewed through the baling twine that held her and ran away. The owners never went looking for her. She stayed her alotted 3 days, and then some, hoping the owners would come looking, they did not. My vet, Dr. Roundy, knowing I love border collies, put my name first on the list. And once I saw her, it was love at first sight. She is sweet and loving. She gets along well with all other animals and children. She is 10 months old and in perfect health. She knows sit, lay down, off, go outside, bye bye, cookie, and ball. She sits quietly at the vet's office for examination and licks your hands when getting shots. She is your typical border collie in a sense that she is a ball-aholic. Though she is not typical, in a sense, that she is very mellow in the house. She comes in and automatically lays down beneath my feet. As I type this she is laying on my shoes. She bathes well outdoors and grooms easily. She is one of a kind. I found me a diamond in the rough. I cannot see how anyone could leave such a fine animal to wither away on a chain. It is repulsive! But Raven has found a home and a sofa to call her own. She will never have to worry about being stray again. Quote
