Temperament: Equable, self confident, neither timid or aggressive. Characteristics: Faithful, intelligent, amenable, good watch dog. Web footed. I have met qutie a few of this breed, and have always found them a brilliant level headed breed. BRIARD Originates from the french town of Brie, has a duel role there as a guard dog and a sheep herder, he has been employed over the years by armies and police. Temperament: Fearless, with no trace of timidness or aggression. Characteristics: Very intelligent, gay and lively. Again I have been in contact with alot of these dogs and personally wouldn't want to be left on my own with one I didn't know, but they are very clever and their problem is they know it!!!! BEARDED COLLIE Comes from scotland with records dating back to the 16th century, was bred for herding sheep. Ideally suited to life in the country with a double weather resistant coat and active nature, a happy dog. Temperament: Steady, intelligent working dog, again should show no signsof nerves or aggression. Characteristics: Alert, lively, self confident and very active. I have not come into contact with that many of these, only around 20, but the ones I have met have been wonderful lunatics and again are a great breed. A to training of them, Leo's easy.
