Hi. I have been noticing my beagle pup when he sleeps he snores and his legs shake. Is he dreaming or should i take him to my vet for a checkup??

I'd bet he's dreaming of slow rabbits :smile: but sure talk to your vet on your annual visit - has he been checked up this spring? if not add that to your list of questions when you go.

I would not be too worried. It is common for dogs to "twitch" and sometimes even given little yelps when sleeping.
The idea of a trip to the vet's is a good one though.

Don't worry one bit an unsceduled trip to the vet is not needed. This is very common but as it shows your dog is in a very deep sleep be sure not to startle him as you would not wake up someone who is sleep walking. I fyou do wake him up then try stroking him gently then increasing the pressure gently this should wake him up slowly and gently!

My dog 'twitches' and wimpers all the time, sometimes she goes quiete wild which is when i wake her up gently because i fear that it could be a nightmare. We will never know i guess!
