Guest Anonymous Posted April 2, 2002 Posted April 2, 2002 Hi if a american bull boxer is a cross between pit and boxer then what is the name for an american bull dog and boxer cross I thought the name was american bull boxer please help me to clear this up thanks. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 A mix between a pit and a boxer is just that a mix = MUTT. (no disrespect to mutts) Same as the other. Mixed breeds dont have specific names unless they are bred to each other (pit-boxer to pit-boxer) for SEVERAL years. Whoever told you those names is full of it! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 Actually, a registry has already been started and the breeding project has already begun. Their should be a third generation in Chicago by Spring of 2004. These are starting from foundation stock of boxer X Pit bull or am staff. The first registered second generation litter was born Feb.7 bred by Todd Tripp of New World Kennels in Ohio. For more info go to http://www.pulldoggies.com/bullboxer/index.html Thanx, Elliott Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 The pictures from the website are great, but i read on there that the bitch was pit x boxer and the stud was amstaff x boxer. Does the breeder know that the pit and amstaff are two distinct breeds? So in other words, your mixing a mutt with a different mutt. I would be more inclined to accept this a breed if they stuck with one or the other. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 Hi I am Todd Tripp founder and breeder of the American Bullboxer. I do know that the Am Staff and the APBT are 2 seperate breeds. The foundation was built more on temperment than on looks. The use of both Am Staff and APBT allowed us to spead out a gene pool and give us advantages of both breed's. To clarify a Bull Boxer can be any Bull type dog crossed to a boxer! An Am. Bullboxer is from our registry and Building of OUR breed. Our dogs are exteremly athletic and have a good reliable temperment. Call them what you want but our dogs are making a splash in many different dog sports. Thanks for your time and please feel free to see my website at http://www.AmericanBullboxer.ws if you have more question please direct them to the American Bullboxer talk board or just e-mail me @ NewWorldAlaunte@aol.com Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 Todd No disrespect....but why with so many homelss are you creating a new breed. I am sure they are fine dogs....and you may have good reasons. Tell us more about them. Is your main reason to get away from the bad rep. of the pit bulls? (not saying they are bad...just that they have a bad rep) Do you see them as mainly pets, guard dogs, agility dogs. Again....not trying to challenge you...just interested. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 If anyone noticed the "Bullboxer" registry IS NOT a true registry. They made it in hopes that the real registries will start noticing their mutts as its own breed. Nowadays people feel if they breed two different breeds together they are making a new breed. All you are doing is producing mutts. COME ON PEOPLE! Quit ruining my APBTS. Its you people that think breeding a pit to another dog is going to "create" a better breed. Do you realize how long people have been breeding pit bulls to get the perfect dog. You are ruining the bloodlines. What does mixing in some boxer do? You are taking away more qualities than you are adding. What kind of bloodlines are you using? Makes me sick- breeding MUTTS and trying to claim they arent mutts. They are their own breed- whatever. Guest Anonymous Posted May 10, 2002 Posted May 10, 2002 Hey...I just realized.....I have a new breed too....she is a terrier..malamute...who-knows-what.....wow! Ooppps...guess it will be a very small group...just remembered I spayed her. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 10, 2002 Posted May 10, 2002 To Todd Tripp You consider any bull type mixed with a boxer an Amer. Bullboxer? Have you tried the English Bulldog with a Boxer? What about the French Bulldog? Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog? American Bulldog? Bull Terriers? I know I'm going overboard with this, but you seem to be bias towards the Boxer. That is not a bad thing mind you, as everyone here is to there dog. But, please dont try to advertise your dogs as a 'Breed' because you like the mix. If that was the case then all the dogs in shelters would be called a 'New Breed of Dogs'. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Those so called "American Bullboxers" are nothing but mutts. The registry is not a recognized registry. The breed is not a registered/recognized breed. These are the people ruining our dogs. If you want mutts, fine, but dont claim they are their own breed. Next thing you know the people with the chow-datschund mix will say they dont have mutts they have "chowshunds". Lets start a registry for them! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 People...People Lets not get angry at Todd for his breed... There is such a registry for his Dogs, They are listed under MIXED BREED. I wonder if Todd has tried those other purebreeds and mix them with a boxer? Quote
