Could you tell me please, what is the largest short haired dog known to man?

Probably the Bull Masiff - Males can reach up to 250 pounds.

I have a Tosa and an English Mastiff and the reserch I have done is the English Mastiff. The bull Mastiff is a mix between a bull dog and English Mastiff that gives the dog more energy....The English Mastiff gets to about 250 or better....look at the breeds standerds and you will find the answers too.

Actually it depends on what you mean by biggest. The English Mastiff (awesome dogs) are the "largest" like in weight, lenght, their paws and heads!! Huge! But the Great Dane is the tallest.

Actually in height the Irish Wolfhound would be the tallest.

I know the Irish Wolfhound is the tallest but for short coats the Great Dane is the tallest.

I would consider the Irish Wolfhoud to have short fur - not as short as a Dalmatian per say, but relatively short.

The Bullmastiff as the shortest hair which lies flat and taught against there body. Males stand at 26-28 inches at the shoulder and are 90 to 110lbs in weight. Females slightly smaller in size and weight.
The Mastiffs coat is a touch longer than the Bullmastiff!
