Guest Anonymous Posted January 31, 2002 Posted January 31, 2002 had a chocolate male labrador retriever and a yellow female labrador retriever birth a litter of puppies. They threw nine black pups. However, some of the puppies had a white spot on their chest and one had white markings on its foot. I want to know, if possible, which dog caused the white markings. Were the white markings caused by the chocolate male, the yellow female or both? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 Are there papers for both parents? If not, someone may not be a purebred. If you do - it would be considered a recessive trait both may be carrying it, which may only come out when two carriers are bred together. Quote
