Guest Anonymous Posted November 22, 2001 Posted November 22, 2001 I have a puppy that has been returned because it didn't work out. BUT, they have yet to return the registration papers. :^(. The dog is neutered already so I guess it's not that big a deal, and I have the pedigree and parent dogs so there's no question there, but do I consider him a rescue and place him accordingly? Technically I guess he his, but since I'm the breeder does it count? Looking for advice :^) Thanks, Tina Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 This is a subject that I hear about every now and again. Most feel because he was returned to you he is now a rescue, regardless if you are a breeder or not. Some will say that you are a breeder, therefore a dog that you bred is not to be considered a rescue. I think it all depends on how you feel about the situation. There is a rescue story on my site (http://akitaresq.tripod.com) under Happy Rescue Tales about an Akita that was returned to her breeder at about 9 months of age - she was considered a rescue. Quote
