Sjefke, my dog, only like's the people he knows It seems to be rare that he like's someone he meets for the first time. You can win his trust but don't try to hard hahahaha. To us he is the most loving dog we ever owned. greetings

Sjefke was 120 pounds at 9 months but is 135 pounds now at 18 months. We keep him on a healthy diet because of the risc of joint problems etc. These breeds grow until the age of 3 sometimes a bit more. I have seen relatives of 180 pounds !!! and very agile. Same with Boerboel,,,,,,also a beautifull giant athlete

Well my gues is that it is a german,,,dutch or belgian Or at least one of these breeds had the overhand in the mix.

ovcharka is a cars dog!! can anyone tell me what is the treu difference in basic between for example turkish cars and the ovcharka's (even the portugese one). there are two types of fila's ,,,,,,,,,,one is not really a fila.. The breeders started with the breed and created a kind of show dog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,adding old english mastiffs to the breed. The other one is the original Fila,,,,,,,,,agile and full of OJERIZA. These types of dogs are CAFIB tested on temperament. Due to these breeders the pedigrees are in their hands and so the original type of fila is allmost forgotten by everyday people. Here in Holland are somewhere around 200 to 300 fila's with only 12 of them with pedigree's greetings
