I had the same thing happen once! It does scare the beejeebees out of you! My pet was a pony and he was lying on his side not moving. I ran towards him and called his name and he snorted and jumped up glaring at me for disturbing his nap!

That is so funny! I wonder how My dogs wold react to a bird in the fireplace.

Sometimes we can get speckles to catch a pill in the air. SWhe loves to catch treats that way. Sometimes we use the old back of the mouth and rub trick Mini always has to be tricked and its got to work the first time or she gets away and hides under the bed. Qwill of course we don't have any experience yet .

He is from a woman who wanted to started her own breeding kennel So she had her female bred and produced ten pupies. Unfortunately the parvo took all the pups except this one who was actually not with the others but had been taken away a couple days previous by people who wanted to try him out! He escaped the worst of it and never got sick.

I'll post some pics as soon as husby shows me how. Yes I'm aware of the color and other problems you've mentioned, yes the vet said he was clear of parvo, He recieved his first shots weds. He needs a second worming in a week. His name is Qwilleran, after the main character in a series of books I like. He's tiny now its amazing to think that a year from now he'll be able to look husby in the eye, almost.

Hi! Everyone who followed my previous posts about getting a deaf great dane pup and then it died? Well I got a surprise yesterday when my husby brought home a blue merle great dane puppy, the last one remaining from that ill-fated litter. He is beautiful! :D

American Soldier Shoots Iraqi Dog

unfortunately there is a segment of our population who think dogs are worthless and meaningless. I have heard of other people who think its fun to torture dogs and other creatures. Boy are they going to get a shock when they they face their creator! Disgusting! -
:roflt: that is hilarious!. I'd like to have a party like that! (at someone else"s house!)

Well, I have no scientific evidence but I don't believe Dogs ever truely forget someone they love. My son was gone in the militart for four years and yet Speckles, who loved him second only to my husband, knew him and immeadiately slobbered all over him and got in his lap and whimpered and just generally showed great joy and excitement . It was a surprise too. We did not know Steve was coming home

thanks! It worked today by not saying cat.

I'm having trouble posting a new topic this is a test!

I say keep the dogs name the same. Your son will eventually change to the correct form don't make a big deal of it and time will work it out.

Thanks for responding but unfortunately my puppy died of parvo last night. before I even got to bring him home.

Can someone tell me why suddenly I can't post new topics? It worked yesterday.

Thanks I'll keep watching

He looks mostly springer spaniel to me. I had one very similiar once

She considers you "her" human. This can create difficulties if it gets worse. Maybe you shouldn't allow the nuzzling at all. Just an idea. Warn people to be careful

I would make every effort to be there. Obviously this shelter needs more support.

How did u fall for ur dog(s)?
pollysmith replied to CincoandDahlilasgirl's topic in Everything about dogs
My husband picked speckles out of a box and brought her home. I thought she was the ugliest pup I'd ever seen but she has grown into a beautiful dog who is the most loving companion in the world! -
Hi! I just registered and am looking for info on raising a deaf dane pup. A Freind of my husband is giving him to us because otherwise she would put him down. He is the runt of a litter of ten but has made it to seven weeks healthy and cute . Anyone who has raised a deaf dog who has tips to share I would be grateful! Thanks all! :D
