1. When I got pup from the pound I had to pre-pay for a neutur. There was no problem in that, but this.....I found out they won't do it until he's 5-6 months old. :eek2: I have BEGGED :agrue: them to do it before...no dice. SO I have this 98 credit sitting in our account there. I just called the Spay Neuture clinic and they got him down for TOMORROW :B-fly: YAYAYAY...not only is it going to cost nearly HALF what my normal vet was going to charge....it's being done TOMORROW! SO that credit can just sit there and be applied to wellness checks and such. I'm SOOO relieved. I really didn't want to wait till he was 5 months. :Dog_run: PLUS, :chaos: it's really nasty and cold outside so he will not be missing out on as much doing it now than if we did it when the weather started to break for the better. :) I love it when things work out like this!!!
 2. One year, when I was barely a teenager(this was donkeys years ago), we had a male yellow lab. Four men from the neighborhood got their brass instrments out and went door to door playing christmas music. It was really nice and unusual. (in that they weren't singing) But even our Lab enjoyed it. He tossed his head back and sang with the men. It was beautiful and hysterical all at the same time. He was not a dog prone to singing so it was extra special (even if he couldn't hit the high notes without his voice cracking!) But the men and our dog all had their hearts in it!
 3. :o
For a family and they're dog out caroling, I dont think anyone would expect to tip them, although when we did it as children they would sometimes give us cookies and hot chocolate, stuff like that
I thikn you might have taken me the wrong way. hehehe. I was shocked when I read
Carol singer around here just give the first line of "we wish you a merry chritmas and a happy new year" they then expect to get paid
I always thought it was something people did because they wanted to. When it was big in that neighborhood...all they got were cups of coacoa and a cookie...no money. I was shocked that there would be people expecting money from it.

 5. :x-mas: Last night at there were luminaries in my mothers neighborhood. (white bags with sand on the bottom and a candle) This is a development of several hundred houses. Very large for this area. It's something my mother started in the neighborhood over 25 years ago when she was "President of the neighborhood association" hehehehe. She brought the idea back from San Diego. So this is a tradition for the neighborhood and such. Last night my children, pup and I piled into the car and drove over to her house so that we might set out her luminaries and then walk and relight the ones that went out in the neighborhood. :usa My youngest daughter wanted to Carol. This was very unexpected as she is a more reserved individual and not so much the attention hog. So my mother and I decided to humor her. My oldest didn't "Have" to sing, (but ended up in the end doing just that) :lilangel: So here we are, walking with the pup up to peoples front doors and singing "Rudolf the red nose Reindeer" because it's the only song that I could remember ALL The words to without fail. :banan: It was a HUGE hit! Pup would sit out in front of us and look at the couple or couples on their front porch as we sang. He would just sit there in front of us with his tail wagging as we sang. After we were done, we would get a huge applause and then they would coo over how he was such a great dog! How well behaved he is. "How old is he?" "13 weeks" "WOW he's a BIG DOG!" and so forth. :Dog_run: We even got cookies and they gave him a dog biscuit! hehehe...it was a very special night. One of those memories that will stay forever :) :laola:
