1. Really I had too...... I saw it moving, I swear! And I had to act quickly and quietly.... Lazy was out of sight and being too quiet, so I went to see what she was up to, there she was on my bed looking like she had just killed a pink and black duck, LOL My poor Boa, I just got it last weekend in New Orleans.
2. I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm happy he had some time with you to know what love was.
3. She is gorgeous!!!!!
4. That is wonderful news!!!!!!!
5.

You adopted Boonie to care for him for life. Heartworm is treatable. Many dogs live through the treatment. Why WOULDN'T you do everything possible to get him through this? So he can't fly, why not rent a car or stay put where you are or have your parents take care of him until things are sorted out? From what I remember you saying, you don't really have a job with set hours. If he has a chance of living and getting better, why wouldn't you take it?
Maybe you haven't read any of the other post regarding Boonies current problemS.....it isn't like he only has HR. He has been extremely ill the last few weeks, and adding this to his list of ailments may be too much for the little guy!! I don't know of your intentions with the post but it did not sound as though you were informed, nor supportive! I apologize in advance if I misunderstood your intention!
I agree, I think this is terrible to be telling her she is not taking care of Boonie like she should, I'm sure she is well aware of the care he needs, and only she is able to decide what will be in Boonie's best interest. I took on a little black Pomeranian this past summer, he had heartworms and I had him treated, he did great. But that was his only ailment, he was otherwise healthy. Boonie seems to have a lot more going on, and maybe he can't handle the heartworm treatment like others. I am sure DAL will know in her heart what she has to do, and it's not fair to judge her. DAL just know I am keeping Boonie in my prayers, and also you for the strenght you'll need to get through this.
6. I live in Norco, about 24 miles from New Orleans. I know Tammy from another dog board, and have met her before. Are you actually located in New Orleans?
7. How old is she??? Sounds like what my 6 month old beagle pup is going through, except she never has actually tried to bite, just growls. I just tell her no in a sort of loud voice and continue whatever it its was I was trying to do with her. I figured if I stopped whatever I was trying to do she would learn that's how to get her way. I'm hoping she will out grow this too, I was thinking it just may be her way of "trying" to get her way. But I am trying to teach her it won't work.
8. Merry Christmas everyone. I know I'm new here and don't post much "yet", but I wanted to wish all a very Merry Christmas!!
9. Prayers for Boonie that he continues to improve.
10. AAAAAWWWWWWWWWW...............they are so precious!!!!!! I have 2 dobes. Harley, a almost (in Jan.) 3yr. old black neutered male and Haily a 5yr. old black spayed female, recently diagnosed with diabetes. Haily also has Chronic Active Hepatitis.
11. LOL!!!! I definitely got a laugh at the thawing poop on the kitchen table!
12. My pomeranian, PiPi, that I lost to congestive heart failure at 14 this past July, also had a collapsing trachea. She was on hydrocodone regularly, especially the last year or so of her life. Collasping trachea's are no fun for them, you feel so helpless, when they start coughing it seems like the more they cough the more it collapses and it is miserable for them. PiPi would sound like she had asthma. Good luck with Boonie, I hope he feels better soon!
13. Oh Tammy I hope it's nothing serious! Maybe it's just the worms causing this, I know hookworms can cause bloody diarhea, hopes it's that and not parvo. I'll be praying for him.
14. Yep you must have lost your mind, LOL Just Joking of course. He sure is a cutie! Good luck with him.
