Mojo's Mom

I have a gorgeous 5yr old husky. I've had him for a little over a year now and while it is hot here right now (he isn't much for the heat nor am I), in the winter time we love to get out and play. We had lots of snow last year and he loved being out in it. It was hard to get him to come in the house.

I have a question as to how much Benadryl to give my dog. He is a 60lb husky and he's 5 yrs old. Also, do you give it just once a day or the way you would a child, every 4-6 hours? One other thing, does anyone know if you can give your dog Claritin for allergies?

When I adopted my dog, he was found to be HW positive. Thank God we caught it early and he is youne enough that the treatment didn't seem to be to hard on him. I'll keep him on the preventative so he doesn't have to go through that again.

Siberian Huskies and any of the setter breeds

I live in Omaha, NE (across the Missouri River from Council Bluffs) I will do what I can to let people around here know about her. I have a co-worker who works at the Humane Society. I will call her and see if she can get word to other shelters in the area. I know there is a fee at the Humane Society for adopting, but if she is selling them for that amount, it would still be a big profit.

When my daughter was about 3 years old we lived in Tampa Fl and had a black lab named Joe. Even when I was outside with her, he wouldn't let her go into the street (and it was a dead end street, at that). He wuold get in front of her and nudge her with his nose back into the yard. Sometimes, she ended up on her bottom, but he never did a thing to hurt her.
