Hard to enforce and they hurt the people who have done nothing wrong. Give me a good way to enforce them and I'm totally gung ho all for it. It's great on paper, but in reality it has holes.

That is sort of what my Aunt and Uncle that live in Florida did. They have a dog door that enters into their laundry room. They have a secure door on the laundry room. It works well for them.

A farm is a lot different in my opinion than a regular house with a pretty limited size yard. It's a lot different to let your dog run unsupervised on a farm where there is plenty of room and no roads close by, than to let them run in a suburban area where there are other dogs, other people, other cars, etc... I think you're a fine dog owner HolzBoomer!

Wow that is very exciting! I'm sure the time will fly by between now and when you can pick up your little Toffee! I think it's a cute name :-) -
Wow, 8 days under the snow! That is really incredible :-) I hope she has some family still alive though

Enforcement will be difficult, I agree with that.
all that can come of this is that the good honest hobby breeders that DO show and train their dogs will be forced to quit
$100 is not going to stop the people who are showing and breeding responsibly. These people have and do spend a lot more than that on their dogs and this fee won't stop that. $100 once a year is not going to break them. You're right Black GSD, I would like to see their plan for enforcement. It isn't fair to make a law that is unenforceable. Only the responsible people will be hurt by it. To get a rabies tag you have to have a certificate from a vet. Maybe you will have to get a spay or neuter tag as well. But I have no idea how many dogs are out there that aren't licensed already. I would really like to know how this will be enforced.

I was surprised that they opposed this too. Maybe they are worried that people won't want to participate in shows if they have to pay extra to keep their dogs intact? I have no idea.

This is a new bill that may be signed into law in Oklahoma: Spay/Neuter Bill Introduced in Oklahoma Purebred dog fanciers in Oklahoma may soon find it too expensive to participate in their sport. Scheduled to be introduced on February 2nd by Sen. Sam Helton, the

I think he breeds more than one breed of dog. He said he also has English Bulldogs.

My boyfriend says that the "secret" message is so that the site will pop up in search engines.

I voted for her! I hope she wins :-)

dehl1 did say that it was her fault...

 Notice how he makes it so you can download the book right away? It's geared toward naive people who are going to read his website, get excited and impulsively buy the book and download it. I do not believe he makes $35,000 a month selling one litter of dogs. He's either a puppymill or a liar. Probably both.

I may have found something that works...

That's a great idea! And it lets Kyle know that she isn't afraid of him, she just never knew who was coming. -
I don't think it's Duke's fault. If the boundary training was sticking than he wouldn't leave the yard even when Duke did.

I would try leaving him out of it since you know he doesn't like it. Does it get really cold in your house? Maybe give him a few blankets or keep him in your room but out of the crate.

21/25 here. I got 22, 15, 10 and 12 wrong! Good test though!

That is really sad. I think a better decision would have been for him to exit the fenced area and turn on his lights or siren to get the family's attention inside the house. Especially since it wasn't an emergency situation when he was trying to knock on the door. If there was an emergency than maybe it would be justified but I think that cop had another way out besides shooting the dog.

google has a translator function. I've never used it so I don't know how good it is.

I saw the show. The Caucasion segment bothered me. I didn't see any people who owned them who I thought really had control of them. In one shot they were allowing people on the street to come up and pet him. One was a very small infant that was sitting on the ground next to it. I'm sure that baby's parents had no idea how dangerous that dog was. If the parents were educated about the dogs, than fine. But I doubt they knew. I don't think that's right. And nobody should own a dog that pulls them down the road trying to attack a car. I thought the segment about the family from Pennsylvania that bought a labradoodle from the breeder in Australia was odd. They got the "hypoallergenic" labradoodle (again, what's wrong with a poodle or another non shedding breed?) because the mom was allergic to dogs. But when they got the dog they didn't really know if the mom would have an allergic reaction to it. They kept saying that they hoped it would work out. So what were they going to do if she was allergic? Why couldn't they have checked out a breeder here to save the puppy a long taumatic trip back to Australia in the event it didn't work out? And why would the breeder not have the mom check out her allergies with other labradoodles before she shipped one? That just seems unnecessary. Maybe it's just me and my not very competitive genes, but I thought those flyball people were going WAY WAY overboard to win and post the fastest times. If you can no longer compete with anything other than a border/border or a jack/border than what's the point?

No, I meant that I doubt most people here feed it.
