1. I love watching the pups grow! stevie is a gorgeous dog...I have known labby(her member name at justlabradors) for about 2 years, shes the owner of stevie, and 6 other gorgeous labs...I met her though JL. Actually if you could all keep stevie in your prayers, she is sick..running a high fever...and as you know, she had 8 gorgeous pups...Labby gave her the shots to clean her out, make sure there was no other pups in there...and stevie gave no signs of having another pup, 10 hours later...she started giving signs...and labby stuck her hand up there and for sure, there was another pup. a yellow female...They had to take stevie to the vet to get the pup out, and it actually came out alive! they named it...and a while later, after a night of the pup whining and sqealing...it passed away. labby is beating herself up about this, thinking she could have done more to save the little girl. bless her heart, she did all she could...and in the end, all the strength and love that she put into this will pay off! since the day the pups were born, she has got no sleep...her and stevie have done such a good job...and remember, this is during the Holiday Season- and she has all of this stuff going on, but shes going to keep on going- she'll keep up the good spirit! and as for the pup, well- shes free and running around with all of our dear dogs who have passed away, shes in God's hands now...bless her little heart! :)
2. She gave birth to 8 beautiful pups, 4 yellow, 4 black....gorgeous little pups:) Boy- I was in tears by the end of that- how beautiful it was to see 8 little pups being born into this world... This pic is one of my fav. The two pups on the end are high-fiving eachother:)
3. I am a part of a site called www.justlabradors.com (most of you have met me, my name is A.J., I am only 16) and one of the breeders dogs is having puppies today. She has it on a camera so you can watch the birth- so here is the site...it updates ever minute or so...very awesome to watch the birth of pups come into this world, there are seven so far... http://www.labbycam.com/ Also- I made an album of the some of what has gone on for the birth- you can see the puppies in some of the pictures.. BTW- stevie is the dogs name, and she is a black labrador heres the link to the album- http://www.PictureTrail.com/steviesbirth
4. ??? Where do you live? Does it get cold where you live (like very very cold?) I live in Maine- and the winters get pretty cold, the past few days it has been below zero- I am also a part of another board (www.justlabradors.com)- I call them my forum family, wonderful board for anyone who has labs...and I never knew what a "snow nose" was until I found that board. All of those who lived where winters got really cold posted pictures of their yellow labs with snow noses...so that explained why my yellow got a snow nose:) It really does have to do with the temperatures...
5. :D We all know that Christmas time is coming near, and its coming fast. Children are writing wish lists to Santa, people are running out to find that special gift for that special someone, and others are staying at home to finish decorating for the holiday season... But with all the hustling and bustling going on, sometimes it is nice to sit back an relax. Some of us this holiday season are more lucky than others, because we have all been able to experience the unconditional love of a dog. Truly, I think it is one of the most greatest gifts us dog mothers and fathers could have received, it is an amazing gift, and uncoditional gift, a truly wonderful gift that will remain in our hearts forever.... So this christmas you all have something wonderful to be thankful for, your furkids. And also remember how special you all are because you have gained the love of a dog!!! Merry Christmas, take care everyone- and make sure to stay warm & safe!!!!:)
6. Hi everyone, I came here a while back- and posted just a tad bit, but now I am back again. But I have been really busy with school, tests, training my new pup (who is now 6 mths.) That I haven't had time to come visit as often. I hope to get to know you all a bit better, and start posting more regularly :) Since I am only 16, this time of year has been really really busy for me... heres my boy right now...at 6 months He's a rottweiler/lab mix. :) Well, hope to talk to you all later!!!
7. Congratulations on the new baby girl, she would of also been the one that I chose! cannot wait to see more pictures:)
8. I voted *yes*. We don't need anymore dogs running around having babies, especially mixed breeds or dogs with health problems. it is so much better if they get spayed or neutered. It's sad that some people care more about the cost, then the well-being of their dog. Why would so many people vote no?
9. WOW-what a great looking dog:) look at the size of the chest- and the shoulders- and his head is just gorgeous! He is just beautiful:) Thanks for sharing
10. well what is a good dog food?
11. Oh sorry, this was suppose to go under "New to the board":)
12. newfiemom- are you sure about that? I have heard so much about it, and I know so many people who feed it to there dogs. I have fed it to all my past dogs, and they seemed fine. Its always hard with foods- because everyone has their own opinion. I have heard bad things about almost every brand of food, there is not a dog food that seems to have all good products in it. As far as nutro goes, everyone has told me- even the vets- that it is a good food. I have not heard anything bad about it yet, until now. And I have looked over the ingredients- and it seems no different from the ingredients in other dog foods. But I will research it further. Thanks for the information though!
