First, CONGRATS on your new puppy! You are a very lucky person to have him, and he is a very lucky puppy to have you! :smilecolros: OK, im NOT very good at puppy things, becuase both my dogs were 6 months old when I got them, so they had settled down, and had been partially trained. BUT, I DO know the answer to your first Q.... OK, I think little Frodo(if you call him that! ) is peeing so much because he is nervouse. He is in a new home, new place, new people, new smells, new sights....You know! So, he might pee alot the first few days. I remmember my cousin's Pomaranian mix peed for the first 3 days at his new home! So, it's normal. :) I think that he will get used to the crate in time. Maybe if you incourage him. After he comes out, give him a treat or something like that. Keep his toys in the crate, so he will know that the crate is his little"den". I read in a book once that if a puppy is introduced to a crate at a young age, they will adopt it as thier home, and get used to it. :D Anyway, you should hear from the other members too, i'm really not sure. But the others here have a TONof information about all kinds of things. I'm sure they will know the answer to your questions. P.S. Why don't you become a member here? We will be glad to have you AND your little Cairn :D You'll have a lot of fun, and you'll find this forum informative, and really enjoyable. Hope you say yes! :D Rowie-the-Pooh

Egg, you know a stuffed toy (for humans) isn't bad at all!(As long as they don't have small parts!) Rowie has her own seal(yes, a stuffed seal!) that she LOVES and carries around with her wherever she goes! I also have a flat football, she loves to "attack" it, and ALSO flat basketball, wich is one of her fave's. Maybe you could get her a flat football Egg, they're cheap! Oh, also for Ducks nipping problem, what iI do is take the muzzle and everything, OR put a stuffed toy or ball in her mouth......she then just ignores me and goes away......

I am sure Aroura knows of the dangers in Tessa escaping...and I am sure she is outside now fencing her yard. You should put it in her place, she lives with her parents....maybe they don't like the yard getting fenced?? I dunno, i'm sure you remmember how hard it is to convince your parents to do something! Yes, it is not cute, Aroura is a very good friend of mine, and I am SURE she knows the danger in that. I'm also SURE that Tessa only escaped once. And that Aroura will is keeping her safe for the time bieng. Believe me I know Aroura, and she has a gift for handeling things. I'm sure she can handle this one. Aroura is a VERY good dog owner.....I know the way you read it, it seems as if we think it no big deal...but every cloud has a silver lining, maybe Aroura was looking at the good side of it? I don't know....i'm leaving this conversation before it becomes a heated argument!

OK, OK, I know you're tired of this question, becuase you're asked about a 10000 times a day.....really sorry.....buuuut...................... HOW DO I POST PIX IN MY SIGNATURE?( ) OK, so it goes like this. I was trying to get a banner onto my sig, and my mom told me to put [img] at the beggining and end.....IT'S NOT WORKING!!?? I've tried with other things, but noooooooooooooooooo it won't let me! :x If you look at my sig now it will have the URL and the [img] but NO pic!!!!!! :x :x EVERYONE has a pic, so ofcourse it's allowed on the forum, but mine WILL NOT WORK! :x Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........... Sash, Jacsmom, K, anyone, help me out here? :-? Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D -

:o What a beautiful speech! :o  It made me cry, but I went with him to the puppy mill and rescued a Golden Retriver(ofcourse!) I wish I had been there, at the time of the speech, I would have brought my whole family, AND friends who think having puppys is OK...THAT would teach them something! :x Thank you K! I will show this to all my friends and see if that changes thier mind! :)

hmmmm.....maybe Duck hates her crate cuz she's in it all the time? :-? Maybe you could keep her in your room until you come back from school?(make sure she doesn't destroy though! Then you'd be in trouble! )Or, errrr....I'm not sure....don't have this problem at home cuz my mom hired a housemaid for us,so she keeps Rowie "safe&sound" until I come back from school...I'm at school from 7:00 till 3:00...so even if Rowie were in a crate, she wouldn't be bored.....she stays either inside, or out......she has a doggie door..... Ok, about the nipping, maybe it's cuz she gets bored, then when you come back, she gets so exited, she can't help herself? Rowie has the same problem, but only if we are away tooooooo long, like days...but she never made us bleed, so I'm not sure what Duckie's prob could be.... 6:45 am to 6:00 pm? That's a loooooong time for school!!! And for a puppy to be in a crate! I thought 3:00 was bad!!!!!!!!! :o Do you come home for lunch? If so, gulp it down quick, let Duck out of her crate, then play with her until you go back to school..... Well, i'm not so good in dog behavior probs....maybe the others could help? Anyone? :) Oh, just been hit by an idea.... maybe Duck runs away from you, because she's scared you'll put her in the crate again? When Rowie used to be put behind the gate when guests came, she used to sense it and run away! After that, whenever we were near the gate, and I tried to pet her, she used to think that I was going to put her behind the gate and run away! We don't put her behind the crate now cuz I told my family how she hated it and how they better stop, so we don't now. Also(I know, I know) don't worry about Duckie too much, she's just a puppy, energetic, hyper, that's what a pup is all about! She'll settle down soon.......believe me, I know! Good Luck! And keep us updated!!!! :D

awww...... Maybe you could find a free day to fence the yard? And if your dad is not in the mood for it, you could probably ask some friends to come over and help? It would really save Tessa from alot of trouble...and more sleep for you! :D One thing that could go wrong.....maybe a drunk(you know what happens) could do something to her? Or they don't get THAT drunk? Or a car could hit her? I think the best option is to fence the whole yard.. Anyways.....how's Lilly doi'n? The heat and everything? I know how you feel.....I had to go through that.....you know the story :P
Does anyone think this guy is actually breeding bob tail boxers or is it all just a con? At first I believed it but then I got thinking about all the cons etc of breeding and how you can put anything on the net and some idiots will believe it. He could sell these pups for 3 or even 4 times the going value for boxers just because he has a good story to say they were born without a tail. How did he manage to cross a dog with a full tail with one that only SOMETIMES is born without a tail, to the extent where he has this dog that looks EXACTLY like a boxer but with a bob tail? Even if he did, he mentiond that he entered one of the offspring in a show... these dogs could NOT be pedigrees, so how did he enter her in a show? It just doesn't quite add up for me... :fadein:
I never thought of that! :o At one stage though, I though "This means these dogs are NOT pedigrees....? Whats goi'n on?" Anyone else notice this too? :-?

hehe.... :D VERY,VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, CUTE PUPPY! I agree that a name with S at the beggini'n will rea lly go well on her.... You should wait a few days, see what her persnality is. I she hyper? Call her something that has to do with hyperness.... You know what I mean :D Or what about Villa? I was reading a book, and the puppy's name was Villa. I liked it so I probably thought you would like to see it. Anyway, please tell us what name you chose when you do! ( can't wait!) :D
OMG!!!!!!!!! I can't speak.....it was going so well at the top of the poem...and then.... :(
I know! The exact thing happened to me!!! I wish that could happen in real life so it could teach those people a lesson!!!!
